Territory Sales Manager

Overview
The primary objective of this role is to enhance sales and profitability in the assigned territory for Cook Medical's Endoscopy Specialty. This will be achieved by implementing local sales and marketing strategies in alignment with the Regional Manager and the goals of the Endoscopy Specialty. The Territory Manager must develop a comprehensive understanding of the products and their clinical applications.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed sales targets set by Endoscopy Specialty Management by presenting and selling products and services to key decision-makers in the assigned territory.
- Demonstrate expertise in the product range of the Endoscopy Specialty and a solid understanding of the associated medical discipline.
- Provide technical training and support to medical personnel on the use of Cook Medical's medical devices as required.
- Manage the territory budget for local events and sample stock.
- Develop and maintain an annual business plan, including sales increases, risk management, sales opportunities, competitive activity, and contingency plans.
- Follow through on customer requests and commitments.
- Monitor and increase market share and competitor activity in the assigned territory.
- Participate in local and international exhibitions and meetings as requested.
- Establish and develop relationships with key clinical and non-clinical decision-makers.
- Collaborate with the sales team and Cook support functions to provide excellent service to customers and patients.
- Work with the Commercial and Business Care Integration teams to develop contractual opportunities with customers and maximize service provision.
- Seek and evaluate new product ideas, facilitating ongoing communication and product evaluations as necessary.
- Understand and adhere to Cook Medical's quality policies and procedures, including Complaint Handling, Product Returns, Samples, Consignment Stock, and other relevant areas.
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as Cook Medical's Employee Handbooks, Code of Conduct, and Confidentiality and Non-Competition Agreements.
Qualifications
- Previous Endoscopy medical sales experience is required.
- Product or procedural knowledge is necessary.
- An existing network within Endoscopy is required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Language skills - a good written and verbal command of English and other relevant languages is required.
- Excellent numeric skills are necessary.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
- Proven problem-solving skills are essential.
- Excellent organizational skills are necessary.
- High self-motivation is required.
- The ability to meet frequently with customers and other decision-makers is essential.
- The ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned territory is required.
