About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled administrative professional to join our Cardiology Department as an Administrator. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative support to our clinical team, ensuring the smooth operation of our department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the clinical team, including preparing patient request forms, booking appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Act as the first point of contact for patients, relatives, and healthcare colleagues, providing a professional and courteous service.
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence, filing, and photocopying in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that patient details on our electronic patient record system are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Use initiative and judgment to resolve problems and complaints, escalating issues to senior staff members as necessary.

Person Specification

  • English GCSE Grade C or equivalent.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), internet.
  • IT skills/keyboard skills.
  • Minimum of two years administration experience.
  • Experience of working in a busy office with conflicting demands.
