About the Role

The Clinical Office Administrator will provide a comprehensive support administrative service to the Haematology Clinical Team. This includes general office duties such as filing, photocopying, sorting post, obtaining patient notes, and liaising with patients, GPs, and hospital medical and clinical staff.

The successful candidate will have excellent clerical and typing skills and be able to communicate effectively with both patients and staff. Knowledge of the Cerner system is desirable.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to organise their workload with the Haematology Consultants and co-ordinate their activities with the Clinical Office Coordinators to ensure an efficient service is provided.

The Clinical Office Administrator will carry out their duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation of the work. It is essential that the Clinical Office Administrator exercises initiative commensurate with the role and maintains confidentiality at all times.
