Offender Support Specialist

The Scottish Prison Service is seeking a highly skilled Offender Support Specialist to join our team at HMP Kilmarnock. As an Operations Officer, you will be responsible for providing support to offenders, including facilitating family contact and supervising visits, as well as managing the electronic control room and responding to emergencies.
You will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including offenders, staff, and external agencies, to ensure the safe and secure management of the establishment. Your role will involve confidently and constructively challenging individuals when required, and demonstrating respect for individuals' needs and human rights.
We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including pension scheme, health insurance, and flexible working arrangements.
