About the Role

As an Operations Officer with the Scottish Prison Service, you will play a crucial role in maintaining custody and order within our establishments while facilitating opportunities for offenders to transform their lives.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and secure custodial environment, empowering offenders to take responsibility and make positive changes.
  • Influence and encourage offenders to maintain contact with their families, access education and training, and ultimately become contributory citizens.
  • Contribute to the prevention and management of challenging behavior, ensuring that all individuals receive the support they need to succeed.
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time role that requires flexibility and adaptability. You will be expected to work shifts in line with a set roster, covering early shifts, day shifts, back shifts, and night shifts.
