The Senior Practitioner - Pods is responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people, considering their race, culture, religion, and linguistic background. This role involves managing a caseload of children and young people in compliance with statutory and departmental policy requirements, maintaining professional standards.
This includes undertaking direct social work responsibilities as an allocated worker to assigned children and young people, investigating concerns regarding their safety or wellbeing, assessing risk and protective factors in families, and deciding on the most appropriate course of action. Longer-term work with families is also involved to meet identified needs and improve outcomes for children.
