Safeguarding Lead for Children

Role Overview- Safeguarding Leadership: Lead and manage the delivery of safeguarding services for children, ensuring high-quality care and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development of trust-wide safeguarding policies, procedures, and guidelines, aligning with national standards and best practices.
- Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs for staff on safeguarding, child protection, and related topics, enhancing their knowledge and skills.
- Community Engagement: Foster partnerships with local communities, agencies, and organizations to promote safeguarding awareness, raise concerns, and facilitate early interventions.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing, midwifery, or a related field, with a focus on child health and safeguarding.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience working in healthcare, preferably in a leadership role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality safeguarding services.
- Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve outstanding results.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safeguarding policies, procedures, and legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and its amendments.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
