Responsibilities and Requirements

The Senior Practitioner - Pods will be responsible for:

  • Managing a caseload of children and young people, ensuring their safety and wellbeing
  • Investigating concerns regarding their safety or wellbeing, assessing risk and protective factors in families
  • Deciding on the most appropriate course of action to support children and families
  • Completing longer-term work with families to meet identified needs and improve outcomes for children

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of building strong partnerships and relationships with diverse stakeholders, including children, young people, and their families
  • Proven ability to effectively use data, intelligence, and evidence to inform decision-making
  • A passion for Achieving for Children's vision, mission, and values, focusing on supporting children and young people to live safe, happy, healthy, and successful lives
  • Personal determination, drive, energy, and ambition to achieve challenging objectives and deliver excellent outcomes for children using a strength-based approach

We offer a competitive salary range of £43,750 - £49,749 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including 29 days annual leave, increasing to 33 days after 2 years and 35 days after 4 years, with an additional day off in your birthday month. Our hybrid working options allow for a good work-life balance.
