Job Title: Revenues and Benefits Assessor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Revenues and Benefits Assessor to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a Revenues and Benefits Assessor, you will play a critical role in processing housing and council tax changes, UC cases, reviews, and new claims, ensuring excellent accuracy and customer service at all times.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deal directly with customers via letter, email, and telephone to ensure delivery against service contractual requirements.
  • Meet deadlines and perform duties with minimal support, maintaining high levels of workload consistency.
  • Complete tasks in line with Right Time Indicator, Right Benefit Indicator, and Subsidy regulations.
  • Coach and mentor junior staff, share best practices, and lead update sessions to improve team skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry publications, briefing notes, and bulletins, and attend external training sessions to enhance team knowledge.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, take on additional duties, and contribute ideas to improve processes.
  • Exceed minimum contractual standards for productivity and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Northgate/Academy/IBS (Civica) Systems.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and good customer service and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Housing Benefits/Council Tax and ability to deliver under pressure.
  • IT competence and self-motivation.
