Job Title: Revenues and Benefits Assessor

Join NEC Software Solutions, a leading provider of Revenues and Benefits software, as a Revenues and Benefits Assessor. In this role, you will be responsible for processing Housing / Council tax changes, UC cases, Reviews, and new claims, following established procedures and working to KPIs with excellent accuracy.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deal directly with customers via letter, email, and telephone to ensure delivery against service contractual requirements, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Meet standards or deadlines required while performing duties with minimal support.
  • Complete high levels of workload consistently, adhering to Right Time Indicator, Right Benefit Indicator, and Subsidy regulations.
  • Coach and mentor junior staff/colleagues, sharing best practices and leading update sessions for the wider team.
  • Maintain a constructive and positive attitude within the Business Centre, taking on additional duties as needed and contributing ideas to improve processes.
  • Regularly exceed minimum contractual standards for productivity/accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Experience using Northgate / Academy / IBS (Civica) Systems.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Housing Benefits / Council Tax.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a flexible approach.
  • IT competence.
  • Self-motivation.
