About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Revenues and Benefits Specialist to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a key member of our Revenues and Benefits department, you will be responsible for processing Housing and Council Tax changes, UC cases, Reviews, and new claims in accordance with established procedures and KPIs.
Main Responsibilities
- To provide excellent customer service to our clients through effective communication via letter, email, and telephone.
- To meet deadlines and perform duties with minimal support, ensuring high levels of workload consistency.
- To maintain accurate records and adhere to Right Time Indicator, Right Benefit Indicator, and Subsidy regulations.
- To coach and mentor junior staff, share best practices, and lead update sessions to enhance team skills.
- To stay up-to-date with industry developments through publications, briefing notes, and external training sessions.
- To maintain a positive attitude and contribute to team improvements.
Requirements
- Experience in using Northgate / Academy / IBS (Civica) Systems.
- Proven problem-solving skills and good customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of Housing Benefits and Council Tax.
- Ability to work under pressure with a flexible approach.
- IT competence and self-motivation.
