Hard Services Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Hard Services Manager to join our team at a high-security government decommissioning site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of works, compiling quotations, and ensuring compliance with contractual processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Site Manager to deliver projects and ensure timely completion.
  • Compile quotations and order materials, adhering to site contractual processes.
  • Assess risks effectively, producing and reviewing risk assessments to ensure they are concise, task-specific, and timely.
  • Produce and manage Safe Systems of Work, maintaining Safe Plant and Safe Places of Work in compliance with relevant legislations.
  • Supervise and manage all aspects of work, ensuring effective planning, management, and supervision.
  • Reassess risk if conditions or methods of work change, and amend Safe Systems of Work as necessary.
  • Review safety documentation when conditions or methods of work change to ensure control measures remain suitable, sufficient, and relevant.
  • Complete reports and paperwork as instructed by the Facilities Manager.

Requirements:

  • A strong civil, electrical, and mechanical background with relevant qualifications.
  • A valid CSCS card and SMSTS or equivalent.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current industry standards, including CDM, Temporary Works, HSG47, LOLER, and PUWER.
  • Able to conduct surveys throughout client sites.
