Hard Services Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hard Services Manager to join our team at HVAC Recruitment. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of works, including quotations, material ordering, and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Site Manager to deliver a variety of tasks and projects.
  • Compile and submit quotations and orders for materials, ensuring compliance with contractual processes.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, producing concise and task-specific documents in a timely manner.
  • Develop and manage Safe Systems of Work, ensuring adherence to relevant legislations.
  • Maintain safe plant and places of work, guaranteeing compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee the planning, management, and supervision of all aspects of work, ensuring effective precautions are in place.
  • Reassess risks as necessary, amending Safe Systems of Work when conditions or methods of work change.
  • Review safety documentation to ensure control measures remain suitable, sufficient, and relevant to the work being done.
  • Complete reports and paperwork as instructed by the Facilities Manager.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines, with relevant qualifications.
  • A valid CSCS card and SMSTS or equivalent certification.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current industry standards, including CDM, Temporary Works, HSG47, LOLER, and PUWER.
  • Ability to conduct surveys throughout client sites.
