We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meetings and Events Manager to join our team at the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of events, conferences, and meetings that showcase our work in tropical medicine and global health.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive events strategy that aligns with our organizational goals and objectives.
- Manage the logistics of events, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual equipment.
- Coordinate with speakers, sponsors, and attendees to ensure a successful event.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of events, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Work closely with our Membership Manager to maximize the engagement of event attendees and convert them into members.
- Develop and maintain relationships with event stakeholders, including suppliers, members, committees, and Board members.
- At least 3 years of experience in event management, preferably in a non-profit or charity setting.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with CRM systems and event management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
