Programmes and Events Coordinator - The Role:
Advance HE has two fixed term Coordinator positions - one is until the end of March 2025 and the other is to the end of July 2025.
As our Programme and Events Coordinator, you will be providing high quality, customer focused support on a range of Advance HE programmes, events, conferences and consultancy programmes. One day you might be providing support for setting up a 100-delegate conference and the next day preparing a residential week for an eight-day programme.
You would be responsible for planning, scheduling and completing event management tasks required for service delivery, to agreed standards and timeline; this may include sourcing venues and accommodation, planning and booking travel (including international travel), ensuring resources for delivery, and delegate management – bookings, joining instructions etc. and post-event evaluation surveys.
You will be the first line of contact for general enquires and customer contact, providing proactive, customer focused and prompt responses to customer enquiries, delegate bookings and information requests.
Programmes and Events Coordinator - Knowledge, skills and experience
We are looking for:
• Experience of delivering excellence in customer service, including handling customer queries and complaints (both face-to-face and over the phone/email/live chat).
• Experience of delivering excellent administrative support and coordination.
• Experience of contributing as an effective team member.
• Experience of working with a range of databases or CRM systems including all aspects of data gathering and migration, input and monitoring.
• Experience of advancing inclusion in your area of work.
• Experience of event management across a range of event types and styles, event administration and support.
• The ability to work independently, undertaking a high level of personal responsibility and initiative as required within the role.
• The ability to manage demanding workloads including working to conflicting deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail.
