Covent Garden, United Kingdom Royal Opera House Full time
Events Administrator - Covent Garden

Permanent
Salary up to £29,000 per annum
Full time: 40 hours per week with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by the Events Programme
Based in: Covent Garden, London

The Royal Ballet and Opera aims to enrich people`s lives and continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. It seeks to be accessible and engaging, to develop audiences across the UK and to break new ground in the presentation of lyric theatre. As a charity, we could not maintain our reputation, the range of our work, or our digital presence, without the support of our business partners, sponsors, philanthropists and members.

Following an internal promotion, we are in the position to recruit an Events Administrator to join our busy events team, working across both commercial venue hire and fundraising events. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised administrator who is interested in developing their career in Events and learning from a dynamic and experienced team in a world class venue.

The ideal candidate will be a well organised and methodical individual, who can take direction and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. They will also be a proactive team player, able to evidence or have transferable skills in the following:

  • Relevant experience in administration or office experience in a highly professional setting
  • The ability to prioritise and respond to changing demands, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good documentation preparation skills and clear and concise writing style
  • Highly proficient Microsoft Office user, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database skills

We value what diversity of thought can bring to our organisation. A working knowledge of our art forms or previous experience in the arts is not essential but the ability to learn quickly and an interest in our work will be highly regarded.

The Royal Ballet and Opera is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment in which everyone can thrive. We particularly welcome applications from those who are from a global majority background and/or those who are disabled, as they are under-represented within our organisation. As a Disability Confident Employer, we guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the essential minimum criteria for our vacancies.
