About the Role

This is a permanent, part-time position based at our Newry campus, with occasional travel to other locations as required.

  • The ideal candidate will ensure that Governing Body and committee meetings comply with legal and procedural requirements, including quoracy and adherence to the Articles and Instrument of Government.
  • We are seeking a skilled individual who can prepare financial plans, monitor expenditure, manage contracts, and support Governing Body operations as a budget holder.
  • The successful applicant will develop and maintain a Governance Risk Management Register, regularly reviewing and reporting to the Governing Body and relevant committees.
  • Maintaining governance records, publishing meeting papers on our website, and managing the register of Governors' interests will be key responsibilities of this role.

Essential Criteria

  • A degree (or higher) in a relevant field is essential for this position.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade A*-C) or Essential Skills Level 2, or equivalent qualifications are necessary.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are required.
  • A full driving licence valid in Northern Ireland and access to a car for business purposes are also essential.
  • Microsoft Office certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with Chief Executive or Director Level is advantageous.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is around £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
