Job Overview

Main Responsibilities

As a Consultant Geriatrician, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients. This will include assessing patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare teams to ensure seamless care. You will also be involved in education and training, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the development of our hospital's geriatric services.

Person Specification
  • Appropriate higher medical qualification (MRCP or overseas equivalent)
  • Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT, CESR, or European Community Rights
  • 5 years clinical experience in Geriatrics and general acute medicine
  • Experience demonstrating potential ability to cope with the demands of a DGH-based Consultant
  • Experience in stroke and thrombolysis
