Job Overview

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care, with a focus on geriatric medicine and complex care
  • Contribute to the development of our services, including the design and implementation of new care pathways
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and improve patient outcomes
  • Participate in the education and training of junior doctors and other healthcare professionals

Person Specification

  • Appropriate higher medical qualification (MRCP or overseas equivalent)
  • Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview) or CESR
  • 5 years clinical experience in Geriatrics and general acute medicine
  • Experience demonstrating potential ability to cope with the demands of a DGH based Consultant
  • Experience in stroke and thrombolysis
