The salary for this Consultant Geriatrician role is £110,000 - £154,000 per annum, depending on experience. Job Description

This exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Geriatrician to join our diverse team of consultants, specialist doctors, nurse consultants, and specialty doctors. As a key member of our geriatric department, you will contribute to the delivery and development of services for older people in a friendly district general hospital.

The successful applicant will participate in daily geriatrician-led ward rounds on the medical admissions unit, rapid access outpatient care in Frailty SDEC clinics, and work closely with our nursing and allied health professional colleagues. We are committed to creating a fair, inclusive environment for our staff and welcome applications from LTFT candidates or doctors with the appropriate skills who may not be on the specialist register.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • An appropriate higher medical qualification (MRCP or overseas equivalent)
  • Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice and entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT or CESR/European Community Rights
Essential Criteria

At least 5 years' clinical experience in Geriatrics and general acute medicine

Desirable Criteria

Experience in orthogeriatrics/POPS and thrombolysis
