Support Worker for Vulnerable Children

We are a new development in Scotland, with an established sister company in England. Our mission is to provide care, support, and accommodation for children and young people with complex needs.
Job DescriptionThis role involves working in a small residential care home where we aim to achieve excellent outcomes for the children and young people in our care. The successful candidate will be responsible for actively safeguarding and promoting the rights of children and young people.
Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching life skills and coping strategies
- Building confidence, self-esteem, and resilience
- Accompanying children to and from education
- Facilitating family time
- Creating a warm, comforting, and homely environment
The ideal candidate will be motivated, empathetic, and understanding, with the ability to establish and build nurturing relationships with the children and young people in our care.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you will need to have experience of working with children or transferable skills that enable effective communication and relationship-building.
Possession of an SVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People and an HNC in Social Services (or equivalent) is desirable, although not essential. A commitment to gaining these qualifications while in post is welcome.
A full driving licence is preferred, but not essential. Successful applicants must register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and maintain conditions of registration throughout employment.
