**Overview**

AWE Plc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Manager to join its Chief Engineer’s Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of our engineering strategy, ensuring compliance with UK Legislation, and providing technical expertise to our teams.

The Chief Engineer's Office is the central point of contact for engineering matters, providing guidance, governance, and support across the product lifecycle. As part of this team, you will work closely with the Chief Engineer to establish and implement the governance framework, optimize engineering standards, and provide technical application support.

**Responsibilities**

  • Reporting to a Principal Engineering Manager, you will work across engineering to provide technical support and guidance to the engineering teams
  • Leading engineering engagements with our customer and the regulators
  • Providing insight into the maturity of engineering projects and identifying areas of improvement

**What You Need**

The ideal candidate will possess a recognized STEM-related qualification, experience of relevant UK Legislation, and strong stakeholder management skills. They should also have a proven ability to influence key engineering activities and contribute to significant improvements in ways of working.
