**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Manager to join our Chief Engineer’s Office at AWE Plc. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping our engineering strategy, ensuring safe and compliant delivery of our critical mission.
The Chief Engineer's Office is responsible for providing technical expertise, governance, and support across the product lifecycle. As part of this team, you will work closely with the Chief Engineer to establish and implement the governance framework, optimize engineering standards, and provide technical application support.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Supporting the Chief Engineer in setting and managing the delivery of the overall Engineering strategy for delivering our mission
- Establishing and implementing the governance framework for engineering
- Optimising engineering standards and provision of technical application support
**Requirements**
The ideal candidate will possess a recognized STEM-related qualification, experience of relevant UK Legislation, and strong stakeholder management skills. They should also have a proven ability to influence key engineering activities and contribute to significant improvements in ways of working.
