About the Position:

The Prison Visits Centre Coordinator role at HMP Millsike is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of prisoners and their families. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the reception area, ensuring a smooth and respectful experience for all visitors, and maintaining strict adherence to security protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for families, friends, and professionals visiting prisoners at HMP Millsike.
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring a seamless experience for all visitors.
  • Maintain strict adherence to security protocols.
  • Act as the first point of contact, helping to alleviate the emotional stress often associated with prison visits through compassionate interaction and efficient service.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Skilled in forming diverse partnerships, alliances, and relationships.
  • Skilled in communication, presentation, data analysis, written and verbal communication.
  • Working knowledge of using Microsoft Office packages/digital systems.
  • Experience of databases, including overseeing the collection, recording, and collating of information, including statistical data, for audit, research, and reporting purposes.
  • Strong administration skills.
  • A positive problem-solving approach with the ability to focus on key issues quickly and clearly.
