About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Health and Wellbeing Coordinator to join our team at HMP Millsike in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of the issues facing service users in the criminal justice sector and a commitment to rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a programme of support to promote recovery and health and wellbeing across the prison.
  • Work closely with prison healthcare and substance misuse teams to co-ordinate services and ensure seamless delivery.
  • Manage a team of prisoners as Health and Wellbeing Champions (HAWCs) to deliver interventions and promote recovery and health and wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • Experience of managing high caseloads and carrying out comprehensive assessments and SMART action plans.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Knowledge of desistance and an authentic passion for rehabilitation.
