About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant General Anaesthetist to join our team at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our anaesthetic department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic services to patients undergoing general and orthopaedic surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultant-level anaesthetic care to patients undergoing general and orthopaedic surgery
  • Participate in the development and implementation of anaesthetic services, including the management of emergency and elective cases
  • Collaborate with other medical specialties to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior doctors and medical students
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives within the department

Requirements
  • FRCA or equivalent qualification
  • MBBS or Basic Medical Degree
  • Full GMC registration
  • Experience in providing consultant-level anaesthetic care to patients undergoing general and orthopaedic surgery
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other medical specialties
