Job Title: Consultant General Anaesthetist/Orthopaedic Hub

We are seeking an experienced Consultant General Anaesthetist to join our team at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic services to patients undergoing general and orthopaedic surgery.

About the Role

The Consultant General Anaesthetist will be responsible for:

  • Providing anaesthetic services to patients undergoing general and orthopaedic surgery
  • Participating in the development and implementation of anaesthetic services
  • Contributing to the education and training of junior doctors and medical students
  • Participating in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with other healthcare professionals

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • FRCA or equivalent qualification
  • MBBS or Basic Medical Degree
  • Full GMC registration
  • Experience in providing anaesthetic services to patients undergoing general and orthopaedic surgery
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with patients and colleagues
