About the Role

The Care and Support Team at Powys County Council focuses on providing a social work service to individual children and young people, prioritizing their safety and well-being.

As part of this team, you will work closely with colleagues and partners to identify risk issues and ensure safeguarding measures are in place. You will also contribute to maintaining good working relationships within the team and with external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing a social work service to children and families, promoting successful outcomes and ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Identifying and managing risks to children, implementing proportionate and timely interventions as needed.
  • Fostering positive relationships with colleagues, partners, and families, enabling effective collaboration and communication.

Requirements:

  • You will be an experienced Social Worker with a passion for supporting vulnerable children and families.
  • You will possess excellent communication skills, able to engage with families in complex circumstances.
  • You will be knowledgeable about strengths-based models of intervention and have experience using them.
