About the Role:
Powys County Council is seeking a highly skilled Child Welfare Specialist to join their Care and Support Team. This role focuses on providing support to children, young people, and their families in need of protection, care, and support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide social work services to individual children and young people to ensure their safety and enable them to achieve their full potential.
- Work as part of a team, undertaking tasks on a duty rotational basis and providing cover for absent colleagues.
- Foster good working relationships with colleagues and partners to facilitate effective teamwork.
- Identify risk issues related to individual children's circumstances and ensure safeguarding measures are in place to minimize risks.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will require a wide range of knowledge and skills to identify and manage risks to children. You should be creative in your work with children and able to use tools to encourage them to share their wishes and feelings. Additionally, you will need to adopt a strengths-based model of intervention and have experience in using this approach.
