Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary School Based) Location: Days/Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (08:45am 15:15pm)
We are currently seeking passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist primary school in Shrewsbury. The school provides a stimulating environment for children aged 3 to 11 years old, who have a statement of Autism or related communication disorders as their primary need. Establish supportive, caring, and secure relationships with children, promoting respect, self-esteem, and a positive attitude.
Develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical, emotional, and behavioural/medical needs of the children, responding to them effectively.
Support pupils with social and emotional needs in the learning process, working either 1:1 or with small groups, closely collaborating with the Class Teacher.
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS.
Excellent and inspirational classroom practitioner, demonstrating outstanding classroom practice with children at the heart of all you do.
High expectations of pupils achievement and behaviour.
Experience working with children or adults in a caring capacity.
