**About the role**:
The Safeguarding Coordinator role will provide efficient and effective coordination and support of Safeguarding meetings for Powys Children’s Safeguarding Team. This includes management and recording on various recording systems in line with Legislative requirements.
The role will also involve working with a wide variety of external partners.

**What you will do**:
The Job Holder will need to:
- Coordinate and minute complex meetings such as Child Protection Conferences, Professional Strategy Meetings and Child Exploitation Strategy Meetings.
- Act as the first point of contact for partner agencies, safeguarding administration and respond to a range of telephone/written enquiries/check requests on registers/information systems and undertake associated tasks including processing incoming/ outgoing mail.
- Draft recommendations letters following Child Protection Case Conferences, identifying the relevant information from the discussion which forms the basis of the Child Protection Plan.
- Ensure compliance with, compilation and reporting of timely and accurate performance indicator statistics.
- Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and security and ensure that all records are maintained to comply with the requirements of GDPR.

**Salary**: £25,979.00-£27,334.00 per year
