Senior Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Area Sales Engineer to join our team at Quay Personnel in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional to take their career to the next level and play a key role in driving business growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, developing and maintaining a portfolio of key customer accounts, delivering profitable turnover and ensuring long-term relationships with clients. They will work closely with internal teams to provide solutions that meet or exceed client objectives, resolve any issues, and maintain trust.
Key Accountabilities:- Develop trust-based relationships with a portfolio of clients to ensure they are recruited and developed.
- Aquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
- Expand relationships with new and existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet or exceed their objectives.
- E nsure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
- Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
- Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
- Take the lead in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
In order to succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as an Area Sales Engineer.
- Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organisational levels.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability in problem-solving and negotiation.
- Strong commercial and technical acumen.
- Computer literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven work experience of recruiting and growing large accounts up to £500k.
- Hands-on experience in sales and an ability to deliver excellent customer experience.
- Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office (MS Excel in particular).
- Understanding of sales performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time.
- Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.
This role offers a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum plus a car allowance and an OTE of £55-60,000 per annum, making it an attractive opportunity for sales professionals looking to advance their careers.
