We are seeking a highly experienced Area Sales Engineer to join our team at Quay Personnel in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional to take their career to the next level and play a key role in driving business growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, developing and maintaining a portfolio of key customer accounts, delivering profitable turnover and ensuring long-term relationships with clients. They will work closely with internal teams to provide solutions that meet or exceed client objectives, resolve any issues, and maintain trust.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Develop trust-based relationships with a portfolio of clients to ensure they are recruited and developed.
  2. Aquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
  3. Expand relationships with new and existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet or exceed their objectives.
  4. E nsure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
  5. Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
  6. Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
  7. Take the lead in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
  8. Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.

In order to succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Proven experience as an Area Sales Engineer.
  2. Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organisational levels.
  4. Excellent organizational skills.
  5. Ability in problem-solving and negotiation.
  6. Strong commercial and technical acumen.
  7. Computer literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven work experience of recruiting and growing large accounts up to £500k.
  • Hands-on experience in sales and an ability to deliver excellent customer experience.
  • Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office (MS Excel in particular).
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time.
  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.

This role offers a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum plus a car allowance and an OTE of £55-60,000 per annum, making it an attractive opportunity for sales professionals looking to advance their careers.
