Volunteer Support Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a Volunteer Support Assistant to join our team at Lancashire Volunteer Partnership. As a Volunteer Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting service users and residents in scheduled activities, providing sensitive listening skills and good communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage service users and residents in scheduled activities, such as befriending, gardening, and other tasks that support residential and daytime care.
  • Provide sensitive listening skills and good communication to help combat loneliness and brighten the day of service users and residents.
Requirements
  • Support skills for the activity, including befriending and gardening.
  • Knowledge of dementia care is an advantage.
Training and Development
  • Safeguarding training provided through eLearning.
  • Volunteers must complete training before participating and refresh as needed.
Estimated Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 per annum
