About This Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Sales Assistant to join our team in Leyland, Lancashire. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for achieving maximum sales, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of merchandising and cleanliness in our shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve maximum sales at all times
- Deliver and maintain a high standard of customer service
- Ensure high standards of merchandising and cleanliness are maintained throughout the shop
- Support the shop/deputy manager to actively promote the Gift Aid scheme adhering to the policies, work instructions and HMRC guidelines
- Ensure all stock is consistently priced in line with policy
- Ensure there are adequate stock levels on the shop floor and that stock is rotated according to company guidelines
- Assist in the day-to-day supervision of volunteers
- Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteers
Requirements:
- Ideal candidate will have previous retail experience and experience of cash handling
- Have knowledge/experience of administrative duties
- Excellent customer service skills
- Be a team player with good organisational skills
- IT literate and numerate, plus good communication skills
