Job Title: Business Assistant
Location: Leyland, Lancashire
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum
The Job
- Assist in raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
- Manage stock levels, process stock adjustments, and handle daily sales order dispatches.
- Arrange contractor visits and maintain accurate records of paperwork and maintenance schedules.
- Control and manage stationery, H&S consumables, and miscellaneous items.
- Develop expertise in our UK sales order processing system.
- Monitor and report any cost variations or discrepancies.
- Provide administrative support as needed and assist management with monthly and ad-hoc reporting.
Your Skills
- You must be able to follow established processes.
- Maintain high attention to detail.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess a collaborative mindset, enjoying a supportive work environment.
- Previous experience in administrative or purchasing roles would be advantageous.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.
- Experience with Sage 50 would be beneficial, though full training will be provided.
