Business Assistant Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Assistant to provide purchasing administration support to our business in Leyland. The successful candidate will be responsible for raising purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, and arranging for transport and storage of raw materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
- Process stock adjustments and daily sales order dispatches to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Arrange contractor visits and ensure paperwork is up to date and visits are scheduled according to the maintenance schedule.
- Perform stock control of stationery, H&S consumables, and other miscellaneous items.
- Become proficient in all aspects of our UK sales order processing system and ensure accurate cost maintenance.
- Provide ad-hoc administrative support as needed and assist management with month-end and ad-hoc reporting.
Requirements
- Able to follow processes and maintain attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative working style.
- Experience in an administrative or purchasing role is beneficial, but not required.
- Basic MS Office knowledge is preferred, and experience with Sage 50 is an advantage.
