Children's Support Care Assistant

The Social Care Department is actively seeking highly skilled and compassionate individuals to join their team as Children Learning Disability Support Workers. Based in Leyland, this award-winning service provides specialist care for young people aged 6-19 with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs.
Job Summary:As a Children Learning Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting residents through a care pathway to help them live as independently as possible. You will be responsible for providing therapeutic care and support, observing and monitoring patient conditions, and keeping accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing individualized care and support to residents
- Assisting with daily living tasks and promoting independence
- Maintaining accurate records of patient conditions and progress
- Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes
- A desire to create positive outcomes for children with learning disabilities
- An empathetic and caring nature
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
