Patent Administration Associate

Career Opportunity: Marks & Clerk is seeking an experienced Patent Administration Associate to join our team in Aberdeen.
Job Summary: As a Patent Administration Associate, you will provide administrative support to our patent attorneys, ensuring the smooth operation of our case management system, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support patent attorneys in accordance with official rules and regulations.
- Use the firm's case management system to provide a timely and efficient service to clients.
- Process incoming communications, recording relevant data on the firm database (Inprotech).
- Generate and forward documentation to internal and external clients.
- Search for files and file electronic correspondence in the Document Management System (DMS).
- Monitor due dates and reminders, following up as required.
- Liaise with external parties to resolve queries or obtain instructions.
- Record service charges and generate invoices when applicable.
- Access external information sources to check and retrieve relevant information.
- Work in compliance with the firm's quality management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Carry out general administrative duties, including copying, scanning, room booking, and phone answering.
Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements:
- Previous administrative or legal secretarial experience.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
