Job Title: Sales Director for Pharmaceutical Partnerships

About the Company: Medscape, a division of WebMD, is a leading provider of physician portals and related mobile applications. Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to join our team in the UK. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for selling our unique suite of Commercial Services to all levels of healthcare professional marketing and medical professionals within global and regional teams in the Life Sciences industry. This role requires strong relationship-building skills and knowledge of promotional and medical solution selling within healthcare. You will have principal responsibility for acquiring, managing, and expanding new client accounts throughout your assigned territory and in related client subsidiaries worldwide. You will also manage, maintain, and grow existing accounts.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience and demonstrable results from selling to and working with big regional and global pharmaceutical companies.
  • A track record of successful sales to senior brand managers and/or medical teams within pharmaceutical companies and to tier one advertising agencies.
  • Fluency with the world of digital media, advertising, and educational activity within big pharma.
  • Excellent experience of presenting to and successfully interacting with senior management of prospect organizations.
  • The ability to sell at a strategic level, developing deep and sustained client relationships based upon value.
  • A passion for digital and innovation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of professional staff from varied disciplines and backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work well in a high-pressure sales environment.
  • Demonstrates drive, being a self-starting, independent worker.
  • Technical proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Word.

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
