Deputy Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Children Assisted in a Real Environment Ltd. Our residential care home for children and young people with emotional, behavioural difficulties is based in East London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of the home and deputising in the absence of the manager
  • Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and participating in inspections
  • Assisting in the development and management of the staff team, including supervisions, inductions, and mentor/role model support
  • Representing the home's mission, statement of purpose, vision, and values, and providing the best possible outcomes for the children and young people
  • Contributing to care plans, behaviour management plans, and risk assessments
  • Providing care and daily tasks for children and young people
  • Assisting in organising and participating in various external and internal social, leisure, and other activities with the young people

Requirements:

  • A minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care with children and young people
  • Desirable - Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management
  • Previous experience working with EBD in residential children's homes (minimum one year) and experience in a management role (Senior or Deputy Manager)
  • Ability to work full-time, including weekends and sleep-ins, and be on-call
