Business Development Representative

Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and engage with strategic prospects in target segments and industries to generate pipeline and create qualified opportunities for the EMEA sales team.
- Engage with potential clients through various communication channels, including calls, emails, LinkedIn, texts, and live chat platforms, with the aim of creating new business opportunities.
- Run qualification calls with prospects to determine if they should be passed to account executives for the next stage.
- Demonstrate attentive listening skills when understanding customer requirements and articulate how Deputy can meet those needs better than other solutions.
- Take rigorous notes and maintain data cleanliness in the CRM to ensure quality handoff to account executives.
- Consistently meet established quota targets that contribute to the company's revenue growth.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least one year of professional quota-carrying sales experience as an outbound BDR or similar role at a SaaS company, with a proven track record of achievement and a desire to build a career in sales.
- A team player with the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Excellent phone presence and interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral.
- A love for making an impact and working with a team to hit key goals and metrics.
- Passion and curiosity around technology, with the ability to comprehend and articulate value points to customers.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Proficiency with Salesforce and other sales enablement tools, such as Groove, Outreach, and Sales Navigator.
