Governance and Assurance Lead

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team in Warton.
In this role, you will support the development and implementation of the Engineering Operating Framework and Governance System.
Our estimated salary for this position is £62,500 per annum, based on the location and job requirements.
About the Programme:
The Global Combat Air Programme/Future Combat Air System Acquisition Programme is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of a new generation of combat aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the development and implementation of the Engineering Operating Framework and Governance System
- Creating an internal assurance framework
- Working with the Airworthiness Team to support design organisation approvals and the appointment of technical roles
- Acting as a focal point for engineering governance between the joint business entity and the UK industry Lead Systems Integrator
- Managing a small team of engineers
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience
- This must include relevant experience in Engineering Governance on Defence programmes
- Experience in creating and applying engineering processes, tools, and approaches for creative solutions, whilst meeting governance requirements
- Previous experience managing a small team, task management, performance reviews, and talent management
