Job Description

We are seeking a Senior People and Culture Business Partner to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to business strategy while being hands-on in supporting our key operational areas.

As a key member of our People and Culture team, you will partner closely with the Chief Operating Officer and senior leaders to support our Operations Division. Your primary focus will be on providing expert HR advice on key areas such as employee relations, resourcing, performance management, learning and development, organisation design, leadership, talent and succession planning, and change management.

  • Provide strategic HR guidance to support business objectives
  • Manage industrial/employee relations matters, including liaising with unions and leading enterprise bargaining processes
  • Collaborate with other members of the People and Culture team to establish core learning frameworks for all personnel
  • Lead the design, development, and execution of People and Culture projects that drive talent development, cultural evolution, and operational change
  • Ensure people strategies across the Operations Division support succession planning, staff selection, new employee programs, policies, and procedures, and cultural engagement
  • Promote compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSEC) policies, and actively contribute to maintaining a safe working environment
Key Requirements

This role requires a proven track record in leading strategic initiatives and operational HR support. You will need to have:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Business Partner in oil and gas or a similar industry
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience with industrial relations and enterprise agreement negotiations
  • Proven track record in delivering strategic people initiatives that support organisational goals
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare management reports and documentation
  • C-Class driver's licence, with the willingness to regularly travel to operational assets
