Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Specialist to join our team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the evidence-based assessment of care needs and carrying out these tasks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assessment of care needs and implementation of care plans
  • Coordination of training, supervision, and mentorship of qualified and unqualified staff
  • Participation in teaching, research, and audit projects

Requirements:

  • Registration with NMC as adult nurse, children's nurse, or midwife
  • Neonatal QIS qualification
  • Mentorship qualification
  • NLS qualification
  • Committed to personal professional development and evidence of further study

Desirable Qualifications:

  • BFI Training
  • Leadership and Management

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
  • Good understanding of child protection
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Experience:

  • At least 2 years' neonatal experience at band 5 and one year post QIS experience
  • Previous management experience in a clinical environment
