Paediatric Diabetes Care Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered children's nurse with a special interest in paediatric diabetes to take on a challenging and rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to children and young people with diabetes, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Develop and maintain programmes of care in relation to the needs of the child and family, ensuring optimal outcomes and a high level of patient satisfaction.
- Take responsibility for a defined caseload of diabetic patients, including day-to-day management and supervision of their care.
- Lead and manage a team of nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and leadership to ensure effective teamwork and high-quality patient care.
- Registration on the NMC register as a Children's Nurse.
- Diploma or degree in a relevant subject, or working towards one.
- ENB 998 or equivalent.
- Substantial paediatric nursing experience in an acute paediatric setting.
- Substantial experience of working with children with diabetes in an acute or community setting.
- Specialist knowledge in relation to area of specialist practice and interest.
