About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people with diabetes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist care and education to children and their families in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to ensure optimal care outcomes for children with diabetes.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in diabetes care, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Requirements
  • Registration on the NMC register as a Children's Nurse.
  • Diploma or degree in a relevant subject, or working towards one.
  • ENB 998 or equivalent.
  • Substantial paediatric nursing experience in an acute paediatric setting.
  • Substantial experience of working with children with diabetes in an acute or community setting.
  • Specialist knowledge in relation to area of specialist practice and interest.
