About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Cardiology Specialist Nurse to join our team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to children with cardiology conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and run joint and nurse-led clinics in conjunction with Consultant colleagues to offer the highest level of care to the patient caseload.
  • Provide highly specialised support and advice via different means of technology.
  • Offer clinical and educational support to staff within the team.
  • Work collaboratively with families and children to provide the best possible experience.
Person Specification
  • Registered Children's Nurse with a Diploma or Degree.
  • Experience with dealing with families and children with cardiology conditions.
  • Teaching/Mentorship qualification.
  • Completed or willing to undertake a qualification in management of children with Cardiology disorders.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Cardiology Nursing.
  • Minimum of 2 years at Band 6 grade which includes working with children with cardiology conditions.
  • 3 years General Paediatrics experience.
  • Ward / Day Care/outpatients Management Experience.
  • Previous experience in teaching of children, families & staff.
