About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our team at Desborough Surgery in High Wycombe. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our clinicians and patients.

Main Responsibilities

As a Medical Receptionist/Administrator, your duties will include:

  • Greeting patients in a friendly and welcoming manner, either in person or over the phone
  • Managing patient records and administrative tasks, including registering patients, processing prescriptions, and booking appointments
  • Responding to patient queries and requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Assisting with the preparation of consulting rooms and maintaining a clean and organized environment
  • Operating the telephone system and responding to calls in a timely manner
  • Performing start and end of day procedures, including opening and closing the premises, and ensuring the building is secure

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict data protection policies.
