Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Office Coordinator to join our team at Primary Care Management Solutions Ltd.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration and excellent communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the multidisciplinary team, including scanning and processing of documents, filtering medical reports and letters, and managing appointments.
  • Act as the central point of contact for patients' letters, reports, and other documentation, ensuring timely distribution of information and messages.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies, such as secondary care and community service providers.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity.
  • Support clinical staff with general tasks and assist with patient queries.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor the practice appointment system.
  • Process personal, telephone, and e-requests for appointments.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with callers' requests appropriately.
  • Signpost patients to the correct service.
  • Action incoming faxes when necessary.

Person Specification:

  • GCSE level or equivalent qualification.
  • GCSE Mathematics and English (C or above).
  • AMSPAR Receptionists Qualification.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
  • Experience working with the general public.
  • Desirable: experience in administrative duties and healthcare settings.

Salary Range: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
