Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Nurse Respiratory to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of our Respiratory CNS team and providing clinical leadership in the care of patients with respiratory diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the care of patients referred with COPD and Asthma.
  • Be responsible and accountable for all elements of professional nursing practice.
  • Work autonomously in managing patients eligible for biologics and liaise with medical team and members of the multi-professional team.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, carers, and professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Assist with the assessment of new patient referrals, working alongside consultants to ensure appropriate investigations are performed in a timely manner and an agreed management plan is in place.
Requirements
  • Registers Nurse on NMC
  • MSc or working towards it
  • Post registration nursing in Managing Patients Respiratory Diseases such as Asthma and COPD
  • Independent Nurse Prescriber or working towards it
